Andy Parker’s cycle ride raised over £6,500

Andy Parker’s Cycle Ride

From 13th to 25th June 2019, Andy Parker full time musician and part time super-hero cycled from Lands End to John O’ Groats, raising over £6500 for Cameron’s Orphanage and the Itala Foundation School.

Here’s his wife Kate’s summary of the final day of Andy Parker’s cycle ride and his reflections on his achievement.

“John O Groats! 4.40pm. When I asked Andy how he felt, he said “Just like we do at the top of a mountain. I put my arms up but it’s not about me, I thought of those children and what they face and achieve every single day.”

I’m also tonight thinking of a mother who lost her son too soon and yet has made something really wonderful out of that grief. Changing lives of children who need all our help to change their own.

So thank you all for all the kind words about Andy- his bravery and heroism, his toughness and strength. Really he says it hasn’t been hard for him. He is lucky to have the physical and mental ability. What is truly amazing is how many people have come together to support him in supporting Cameron’s Orphanage Project.

Thank you all so very much xx Kate and Andy xx
